Tesseract 261: A 4D Puzzle Minigame

Step into the fascinating world of four-dimensional geometry with Tesseract 261, a challenging minigame that will test your perception of space.

How to Play:

In Tesseract 261, you’ll be presented with the net of a tesseract (a 4D hypercube). Your task is to paint the cubes so that when the tesseract folds, opposite facets share the same color. (If you need a hint, try considering how it would work with nets of a cube - a lot of the same logic will apply.)

Important Notes:

  • This is a minigame: Tesseract 261 is a standalone mini-challenge designed to give you a taste of four-dimensional puzzles. The game is not yet complete, so watch here for updates and improvements, including more game modes
  • What’s Next?: Stay tuned for 4D Builder, an upcoming, more in-depth game that will allow you to construct and explore a variety of 4D shapes. If you like Tesseract 261, you're going to love the endless possibilities in 4D Builder!

Test your mind, explore new dimensions, and get ready for the full experience with 4D Builder — coming soon!  Join the Discord to keep up to date with both Tesseract 261 and 4D Builder!

I feel like this could be really fun if there was a tutorial example on a dali cross + an in-game comparison to how you would do this with the net of a cube. as it currently stands though, it's a bit inscrutable. neither of the game modes have any feedback or indication of whether you are on the right track or not, so everything feels very arbitrary. i like the idea a lot though, and hope to see more from this in the future.

wow I don't understand this at all
